Recent Hay Storage Projects

Kainai Forage Hay Storage

This project scope included the construction of three pre-engineered rigid frame buildings, one 200’ x 300’ and two 325’ x 390’, to be used for hay storage. All three buildings have an asphalt floor to allow for a clean, dry base on which the forage product can rest on.

Civil work required for this project included striping and stockpiling the existing top soil, common excavation and ditch work, supplying and installing the gravel base course, asphalt pavement floor and 108 concrete piles up to 25’ deep, and supplying and erecting the steel building.

Olds AG Tech Hay Storage

This 200’ by 200’ pre-engineered steel building was constructed as a hay storage shed. The scope of work included foundation excavation and backfill, foundation forming, placing rebar, and all associated concrete work, as well as supplying and erecting the building itself. We had to install deep piles due to the high water table at the building site to provide a stable base for the building foundation.
