Managing A Retail Property Build Or Renovation

When it comes to retail property construction and renovation, our clients can range from restaurant owners, shop owners, and fitness facility owners to landlords or government entities looking to either build or upgrade a retail property.

There is often a more intricate chain of command when it comes to project ownership and points of contact, as many of these clients will not own the physical location – but will own the company and all of its associated brand assets.

When it comes to procuring materials for tenant improvements, this can also be a more intricate task. The responsibility may fall on the property owner, the tenant, or our team – but of course, we work diligently to ensure that all parties are aware of any timeline constraints, and that barring any supply chain issues, that materials are delivered when we need them.

Tenant improvements can encompass a wide range of upgrades, from simple cosmetic changes like paint, light fixtures, or following to move extensive renovations like adding new walls or plumbing work.

Redrock Dental in Medicine Hat

Completed in February 2023, we were hired to handle tenant improvements for a modern, professional retail space that we also completed the base building for.

We worked closely with the owner of the property in a design-build project delivery method to ensure a seamless experience.

The building was designed to be efficient and scalable, with ample natural light and a functional layout.

9 Round Fitness in Lethbridge, Alberta

Completed in 2018, this project was a full interior renovation and tenant improvement overhaul for a kickboxing gym! The second of two locations, the owners of the property were a part of a large franchise of gyms.

As such, we needed to strictly adhere to corporate design standards and an approval process. Our team worked closely with the in-house design team to ensure planning was smooth and the gym space was as optimized as possible.
