Located in the South Lethbridge business district, this locally designed multi-story professional building truly showcases the design flexibility and economic value of pre-engineered steel building systems. The elegant design was achieved through a harmony of classical and modern design styles and building materials. Traditional masonry and architectural moldings provide a strong visual anchor while pre-finished insulated wall panels and bronze anodized aluminum integrate classical design with modern products to produce an attractive and highly efficient building envelope. The design premise for the project is strength and symmetry centred around a common entrance surmounted by an elevated arch element. The central entry feature is accentuated by massive masonry pilasters anchoring the building to its foundations in conventional Palladian style. Occupants and visitors to the building alike can expect high ceilings and an abundance of natural light through large windows and open floor plans. The extents of the building are defined by corbelled projections which limit and contain the overall form. The corniced capitals are detailed in a traditional manner with soldier and header courses of brickwork. The overall design is an acknowledgment of the finer design motifs of the past but constructed in the most rigorous and efficient methods of the present. The facility is home to an array of professional service providers on its upper floor such as optometry, orthodontics, dental surgery and engineering as well as multiple retail businesses along the main floor.
