Completed as a joint venture, this major project included a 53’ tall, 12,560 ft², pre-engineered steel building addition including office mezzanines, two full height and width firewalls, laboratories, packaging and production areas, washrooms, stairwells and warehousing areas. Additionally, portions of the existing plant had to be renovated to suit the expansion. The client also developed the lands immediately adjacent to significantly increase their commodity storage and processing capacities.
Working in conjunction with the owner and a peer in the construction industry, this project strengthened our relationships in many ways and illustrated our ability to accommodate our clients regardless of the required project type or contract format. This plant expansion consisted of the client's major capital investment in the southern Alberta region.
Upon project completion, the client publicly announced that the project was completed on time, on budget and with no loss time injuries.
